Vampire Slayer began with a playful mechanical idea: an interactive object in the spirit of Whack a
Mole, built by hand. Early experiments with motors, structure, and physical movement continued until
the setup became stable enough for repeat play.
how it works.
Phone flashlights act as the main input. When light hits a vampire head, sensors detect it and trigger
the mechanism that lowers the head back into the structure. The direct interaction gives the game its
rhythm and makes the technology easy to understand.
build and visual direction.
The project moved from rough styrofoam tests to a more resolved cardboard build supported by micro:bits,
motors, and handmade components. The visual direction centers on a red and black vampire theme, tying
the mechanics, atmosphere, and presentation together.

The physical system required plenty of adjustment before it behaved consistently, making the final
result feel even more rewarding. A future pass could refine the mechanism further and push the
theatrical quality of the arcade experience.
